Aren’t there a lot of them?
Lately I’ve found myself spending a lot of time at fredmiranda.com Weighted towards professional, semi-professional and immensely talented amateur photographers, this is an amazing site for not only picking up tips on technique and gear, but also for seeing some spectacular & inspiring examples of first-class work. It’s the Macro Forum here that enthused me sufficiently to stop thinking “Oooh, I wish I’d taken that” and go out and buy a proper macro lens.
I’ve even stopped letting out reasonable impressions of a girly shriek when confronted by HUGE pictures of bugs and spiders!
I still say “Oooh, I wish I’d taken that” but probably not quite as often as I look at my pathetic, badly composed, out-of-focus efforts, compare them to those I see on the forum and then say “How the hell did they do that?” ;-)
One day, one day ….. :D
