I recently spent a wonderful few hours at Fairhaven Woodland & Water Gardens. It was looking very different to my last visit in the autumn : lots of bare twigs and open, brown spaces because Spring hasn’t entirely happened here yet. There were a couple of areas in particular where ladybirds were out in force and I enjoyed being equally engrossed trying to capture decent images and thoroughly frustrated by the fact that my eyes kept watering in the very cool air, playing havoc with my ability to focus!
Anyway, I thought it appropriate that the first gallery of images I put up on the new-look site should be new ones, so here they are. All taken with the Canon 100 f2.8 macro lens, handheld, natural light.
