One of the many things I love about the ‘net is the ability to find ‘how to’ video clips: watching a video tutorial is usually much better for me than simply reading how to do something. (Although I do still like to have a hard copy reference book to read through.)
I’ve got used to having to tune out the background music which seem to be compulsory these days. But for goodness’ sake, why the bloody hell must people not only use a background track but use a track with vocals? I want to concentrate on the voiceover, thank you very much, not be constantly distracted by competing words. Twice tonight I’ve started to watch photography-related tutorials, only to give up a few minutes in.
I’m thinking of changing my site name to ‘The Grumpy Quirk’. Or maybe there’s a gap in the market for tutorials for the chronologically-challenged who still retain the power of single-minded concentration ;)
Here’s a photo of the tiny flowers on a weed: pretty, ain’t it? Takes my mind off the irritations :)
